Mr. Nigel Austin
Is one of the senior most members of the Ceylon Motor Sports Club and has served the club as Secretary, Vice President and President in the past. He has been a member of the club since 1965 and now is heading the Board of Trustees of the CMSC. He is also an Honorary Life Member of the CMSC
He has previously been a keen competitor at Hill Climbs and Rallies, winning both the Lotus Rally and the Monsoon Reliability Trials. Mr Austin continues to be an active competitor in Rallies and in the Classic Car events. His passion for motor sports and cars still encourages him to be associated with the club and his contribution is highly appreciated.
Mr. Asgi Akbarally
Has been a committee member of the CMSC since 1982 and currently is a senior member of the Board Of Trustees. He has served the club as Vice President & President in the nineteen eighties.
His passion for cars and as a collector of classic cars has been the inspiration for him to take up to competition racing. He has been a keen competitor at most CMSC events specially Mahagastotte Hill Climb and many Rally’s. He has been behind the club and supported the CMSC throughout the years and still continues to do so which is highly appreciated.
Mr. Yohan Lawrence
Has been a member of the CMSC since 1990 and is an Honorary Life Member of the CMSC. He has served the club as Treasurer, Vice President & President. He is currently a member of the Board Of Trustees. He is an active member of the club from Go Karting in the 1980s, and at both Mahagastotte and Katukurunde. He currently officiates regularly at most CMSC events in the capacity Clerk Of The Course, Race Director and Steward, and still occasionally takes part as a competitor as well. He represents the CMSC at the governing body of motor sports Sri Lanka Automobile Sports (SLAS).
Mr. Upali Kapilasena
He has joined the CMSC in 1972 and since then been an active member of the cub currently a member of the Board Of Trustees. He is also an Honorary Life Member of the CMSC. Mr. Kapilasena has served the club as Secretary, Vice President & President in the mid-seventies. Being famous for his hill climbing skills in his VW has held class records at Mahgastotte in 1976. He still continues to be an active member and also officiates regularly at meets conducted by the CMSC.
Mr. Sunil De Costa
He has been a member of the CMSC since 1983 and has served the club in the capacity of Vice President & President in the mid nineteen eighties and currently is a member of the Board Of Trustees of the CMSC. Mr. De Costa has been a keen competitor at most CMSC events specially rally’s and at Mahagstotte Hill Climb driving his Renault Gordini Turbo. He has headed the Mahagastotte Hill Climb organizing committee for several years and contributed immensely to the clubs development to date
